Overview
Mary‘s Well - It is worth noting that the original Well is inside the Orthodox Church, however this explanation concerns the Well known today as Mary‘s Well, When the church was built in the fourth century on the source of water, a 150-meter canal was built outside the church, and there was a path built to serve the residents, their livestock, and their crops.
Over Time Mary's Well was restored and rebuilt multiple time and among the most important eras were the Crusader period in the twelfth century, Mamluk in the thirteenth century, and the Ottoman Empire in the nineteenth century (1862) where the building was built in two directions, one for women and the other for men to water their horses and livestock.
In 1911, clay pipes were replaced by iron ones.
The well was rebuilt in the 1960s, However the water stopped reaching it.
The well we know today was built for the last time in year 2000.
